Texas Lone Star Lending
Texas Lone Star Lending has been an active force in the mortgage business since 1996. First licensed in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, the company moved to the Austin area in 1998 and now is headquartered in Lakeway. The company's initial focus was residential lending due to the vast experience of its founding broker, Stacy Bray. In 2003, with the addition of her husband Steve, the company added a commercial financing division.
Texas Lone Star Lending is a different kind of mortgage company. We're small and prefer the personal touch. We don't operate on bank hours. We're not on the golf course at 3p. Your questions and needs are important. While we cannot always answer the phone, if you call between 9a and 7p Monday through Friday, we will return your call within two hours. (We'll even return calls on Saturday between noon and 6p, but please cut us some slack on holidays.)
We are committed to the highest quality customer service and know how important it is to have an educated customer. We make sure you understand the financing process so there are no surprises. Customers are as important as family, so we offer them the same loyalty as we would family and friends. You can always count on the best possible interest rate and the lowest possible loan costs.
As parents of two active-duty service members, we run a military-friendly mortgage company ready to provide the service our veterans deserve. We treat our vets just as we would treat our own military kids, and our customers become a part of our extended military family. Our heros wear combat boots!
The company is a leading advocate for ethical behavior in the mortgage industry. If ever you have a concern about the policies or actions of this company or its representatives, please contact Stacy or Steve at once. Texas Lone Star Lending is subject to regulatory oversight by the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending.
Steve joined Texas Lone Star Lending in 2003 to manage the commercial financing division following 17 years in the computer software industry. Steve started his software career with Schlumberger in Austin. After 10 years, he launched his own company to develop do-it-yourself Web site software for small businesses. After suffering through the tech downturn, Steve joined a software start-up in Austin specializing in health care software. He held positions as Vice-President of Research & Development and Vice-President of Sales & Marketing before retiring from software to apply his years of experience to help investors and businesses find and secure sources of financing.
In September 2007, Steve received his residential Loan Officer's license from the State of Texas. He still can help you with commercial financing. The residential license gives him to ability to work with investors on ALL income-producing properties types.
Steve is active in the local business community. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce and as Chairman of the Northwest Austin Chamber. He currently serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for the Oak Hill Business and Professional Association.
Stacy has excelled in the mortgage and banking business for over 20 years. In her career she has viewed the mortgage industry from many sides, including as a bank branch manager, underwriter, investor, educator, and loan originator.
Her involvement with builders and realtors has given her additional perspective. She received several awards recognizing her contribution to the Builder's Association and the Women's Council of Realtors while chairing committees for the Tarrant County Builders Association, including the Judging Committee for the Spring Tour of Homes and the Kaleidoscope of Homes.
Stacy has been very active in the Mortgage Broker's Association. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the Central Texas chapter, chaired the PAC Committee for the state association, and chaired the Subcommittee on Financial Literacy and served on the Education Committee for the national association.
For both Stacy and Steve, family is very important. They stay very busy with kids, grandkids, church, and community. They have 5 children ranging from 34 to 21 years old. Her oldest, Jane, graduated from Texas A&M and is married living in the Dallas area. She has provided us with three wonderful grandchildren. Robert graduated from the University of North Texas and Southern Methodist University and currently lives in Los Angeles with his two beautiful kids. Nancy graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and is married living in Oklahoma. She has a handsome little boy and twins on the way. Emily is an Airman with the US Air Force. She and her husband live too far away (on the east coast) and are expecting their first child next year. RJ is a Marine currently based on the west coast. (As of this writing, he's still the future hunky heartthrob for some lucky girl.) We are so very proud of our kids, especially the two youngest who chose to serve our country.
